Task 8 - Favourite Previous Student Video
My Favourite previous student video was by Emmanuel, Joshua, Yuksel, Ariadna
I liked this music video in particular because of the song choice which is grime, which is an interest for me and my group to do. also the shot types and the locations and the acting was very good. The video was between a illustrating one and amplification video, which was good because it would have a meaning to the song and a further meaning added to it.

I liked these elements of the music video because of the camera work, the editing and special effects. It gave the music video a better outlook and innovation. I wish to use these kind of techniques i have seen in my own music video.
Task 3 - Function of a music video
A music video is a visual entertainment of the song, which the artists produced. Music videos has different functions, a music video sells the song in a way that the audience will remember the song also it entertains the audience by highlighting the talents of he artist e.g. singing, dancing, performing and physical appearance
The music video i will be analysing would be Beyonce - Single Ladies. I think this video is the best form of a music video because it displays the artists talents other than singing. In this video we see the artist Beyonce singing and doing a proper choreographed dance.
Beyonce posted the 'Single Ladies' music video in October 2009 and it has 418,935,198 views on YouTube. People have said that Beyonce's Single Ladies music video was the mordern day version of Michael Jackson phenomenal video of 'Thriller' because of the amount of remakes the music video has.

What makes me think that this video is the best format of a ausic video, is that its a very catchy song. This makes it very easy for the audience to remember the song and end up purchashing the single. Furthermore, the talent Beyonce is displaying also makes this the best format of a music video. The dance in this video encouraged a lot of people to do their own re-makes of the choreographed dance from all ages. Lastly, this video doesnt show all the conventions of a music video but it has different type of shots, a location, movement with the camera. this video entertained the audience very well because with the amount of views it has. Single Ladies made Beyonce album 'I am Sasha Fierce' very successful.
